Protest Bush in New York City on September 19!
On Tuesday, September 19, President George W
. Bush will be in New York City to deliver a defense of the disastrous Iraq War and the so-called “war on terror” to the United Nations — and we’ll be out in the streets to greet him! Join us as we call for all the troops to come home now and say NO to the Bush administration’s endless war-mongering and occupation policy in the Middle East and attacks on our civil liberties at home.
United for Peace and Justice has organized a great many demonstrations against the war, but never on such short notice. With just two weeks before Bush comes to town, we need your help!
We need to raise $25,000 — right now — to cover the costs of mobilizing for this protest, including printing leaflets and banners, renting a stage and sound system, and getting the word out far and wide to join us in New York City on September 19.
Your donation of $15, $25, $50, $100 or more will help ensure that Bush is greeted by a large, vocal outpouring of protest when he comes to New York City. Please help us make this demonstration a success by making a donation today!
You can donate in one of three easy ways:
1. By credit card online: http://www.unitedforpeace.org/donate
2. By credit card over the phone: Call 212-868-5545.
3. By check or money order: Mail your donation to UFPJ, P.O. Box 607, Times Square Station, NY NY 10108.
Donations of $100 or more can be tax-deductible when made payable to A.J. Muste Memorial Institute and mailed to the UFPJ address above. All donations, large and small, are greatly needed and very appreciated.
If you live near New York City, make plans today to join us if you can on Tuesday, September 19. We will gather at 9:00AM at a location to be announced and march beginning at 9:30AM.
