Sen. John McCain Supports “Honestly” Bad War Policy
Senator John McCain, presidential wannabe, backpedaled from his recent criticism of President Bush’s Quagmire in Iraq. McCain said, “Stuff happens, mission accomplished, last throes, a few dead-enders. I’m just more familiar with those statements than anyone else because it grieves me so much that we had not told the American people how tough and difficult this task would be.” So, if we told the American people about the quagmire, then the quagmire would be fine? I am glad that Sen. McCain thinks that Americans can handle the truth. Unfortunately, McCain isn’t paying attention to the fact that opposition to the Iraq war is at an all-time high and only 35% of American support the war in Iraq (according to CNN). Sorry, Mr. McCain, but you’re policy of honesty only makes you honestly wrong about your bad war policy. Maybe some think that this is an improvement over the Republican standard of a dishonest bad war policy, but we CAN do better…
